Hi, I’m Karen - an audio post-production specialist with a lifelong connection to music and storytelling.

I grew up in a family where music was always present. My older sisters played piano and sang, and I followed in their footsteps, learning piano at seven and picking up the trumpet shortly after. My family took me to musicals from the moment I could sit in a seat, and they introduced me to every genre imaginable. Those early experiences made one thing clear: whatever I did in life, I wanted it to involve sound.

I’m now in my third year of a BSc in Music Technology at UWS, due to graduate in 2027. Throughout my studies, I’ve discovered a passion for audio post-production especially dialogue editing and syncing. I love the blend of creativity and precision it requires, and how even the smallest detail can change the way a story feels.

Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. My approach to sound is emotional and sometimes experimental - I’m drawn to the way audio can shape a moment, spark a memory, or remind someone of a feeling or a person. Sound is powerful, and being able to help shape that experience is something I value deeply.

Looking ahead, I hope to work on films, in big studios, and within the games industry - but more than anything, I want to enjoy the process. My goal is simple: to have fun, keep learning, and bring stories to life through sound.
